Bouchard's Outrageous Canadians

New group, Bouchard's Outrageous Canadians, made their debut at Toronto's Bovine Sex Club on April 25th. The band featured many well known Canadian musicans. Guitar duties were handled by Sean Royale from the band, Dean Lyker (formerly High Voltage), and Strat Andriotis from Tony Levin. Keyboards were played by Greg Brosco. On bass was Dave Elley from the Orphans. Lead vocals were sung by Buckshot Bebe from the Poison Arrows, Eric Herrman from Crash Kelly, solo artist, Lisa Winn, promoter, Lou Molinaro, Ginger St. James, and Albert.
The band played a 90 minute set with the bulk of the material coming from Blue Öyster Cult's first three albums. For the encore the audience chanted BOC, BOC… until the band came back with the final song, MC5's Kick Out the Jams.

Ünderberlly Tour France

The Ünderbelly just completed a very successful mini-tour of France as the support act for the legendary Animals (and friends). Every sold out show was a blast and has probably spoiled the band forever but c'est la vie.

While the Animals appeared without notorious lead singer, Eric Burdon, the singing duties were aptly filled by bassist Peter Barton and Johnny Williamson. Barton sounded especially convincing on the Animals hits. The group included two original members, drummer John Steel and keyboardist Mick Gallagher. They played a balanced set of old chestnuts and new songs from their last couple 21st century albums. They are really a great virtuoso band and delivered all the audience expected and more every night.

The Ünderbelly also played an eclectic show combining old Soft White Underbelly songs with Blue Öyster Cult favorites and new numbers that the band has just worked up in the past year. Guitarists, Adrian Romero and Baz Gaisne worked particularly well together with cloud-like harmonics and tough double lead harmonies. Fans treated the band just as well with demands for encores and an autograph cue every night.

On the agenda now is more recording with at least a teaser EP planned for early summer release.

Blue Coupe Debut

The Blue Coup show in the Poconos was a great success. It was a sold out show of revelers ready to hear a slew of classic songs from a combo that was a terpsichorean dream finally realized. The stage banter was a series of stories about how songs came to be and close encounters of a famous kind. Sound and lights were provided by local band Bad Influence who joined the Coupe onstage at the end of the second set for a multi-band jam. The projected northeaster never materialized and everyone got home happy, safe and sound.

New Music From Albert

Albert will be collaborating with Les Vegas for a track on the upcoming Motörhead tribute album. The working name for this project is the Ünderbelly. Recording will get underway in December. The band will also be playing some selected dates in New York and Paris in late March and early April.

Currently recording drum tracks for the Liah Alonso (http://www.meetliah.com) debut album Albert is working on his studio tan. And coming up is the co-production of singing sensation, Kelli McCloud's, album which is schedule for spring of '08.

Albert is also recording and mentoring talented actor and songstress Bridget Barkan for her debut album. And let us not forget the Regal Tones live debut record due for release in summer of '08.

And that is only some of the projects Al's working on. We also have more new songs and a whole other kind of art… glass. TBC
